Counselling and Psychotherapy

Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step. You might be feeling overwhelmed, low, anxious, disconnected, or simply aware that something in your life isn’t sitting quite right. You don’t need to be in crisis, and you don’t need to have clear answers before you begin. Therapy is a space where you can slow things down and start to talk things through, one step at a time.

A Space to Talk and Be Heard

Counselling and psychotherapy offer a quiet, supportive space where you can speak openly about what’s going on for you. This might include stress, anxiety, low mood, grief, relationship difficulties, work pressures, or feelings around self-worth. Some people come with a specific concern in mind; others just know they need somewhere to talk.

There’s no pressure to know what to say or where to start. We can take things at your pace and focus on what feels most important to you.

Working Together

Therapy is a collaborative process. My role is to listen carefully, help you make sense of your experiences, and support you in understanding yourself more clearly. Sometimes this means focusing on what’s happening in the present; other times, it involves gently noticing patterns or experiences from the past that may still be affecting you.

The work is shaped around you, and it can change over time as your needs change.

What Sessions Are Like

Sessions are calm, confidential conversations. You’re welcome to talk about thoughts, feelings, relationships, or anything else that feels relevant. There’s no expectation to share more than you’re comfortable with, and nothing you say will be judged. Together, we work towards greater clarity, steadiness, and a sense of connection to yourself and your life.

Confidentiality

What you share in therapy is treated with care and respect. Confidentiality is central to the work, helping create a space where you can speak freely. In rare situations involving serious safety concerns, confidentiality may need to be broken, and this would always be approached with sensitivity and openness.

Taking the First Step

If you’re unsure whether therapy is right for you, that’s okay. Getting in touch doesn’t commit you to anything. It’s simply an opportunity to ask questions, share a little about what’s going on, and see whether working together feels like a good fit.

We can take things gently, at a pace that feels right for you.
